Well, we have another race going on here, but it’s not on the roads of France or even the USA. It is on the Net, and it is a fan vs fan challenge to vote for the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year 2004 Award. Lance is facing some tough competition from Michael Phelps fans. A Loyal Lance Fan did some cyber spying and tells me that Phelps fans have organized a voting tree or some such tactic, so that when Lance gets ahead, they vote in a huge block of votes.

So, Lance Fans, you know what you gotta do - vote like you’ve never voted before! Work for Lance like he works for us at the Tour. We need to pull him up to victory in the SI Fan Poll

Hit this site SI as many times in a row as you can, and go back and do it again everytime you have a minute on the computer. My LLF spy tells me that she can do 200 hits an hour - can anyone beat this record? My strategy is that when I am talking on the phone, I let my fingers do the voting - zapping the competition with Lance votes all the time while I am talking. How about asking ten of your friends who are Lance supporters to vote and to each contact ten of their friends to vote, and have them contact ten friends - Yeah - you get the idea...
